Terms of Service

By using Paper Powered POTA (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What the Service does

Paper Powered POTA is a web application that uses AI to extract QSO data from photos of handwritten amateur radio log sheets and generates ADIF files. You are responsible for reviewing all extracted data before downloading or submitting it to any logging service.

2. Not affiliated with POTA

Paper Powered POTA is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Parks on the Air (POTA) or any related organization. POTA is a registered trademark of its respective owners.

3. Account and eligibility

• You must have a valid Google account to use the Service.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

4. Plans and payments

• Free plan — 5 lifetime uploads at no cost.
• Activator's Pass — 5 uploads valid for 30 days from purchase.
• Monthly plan — 100 uploads per month, billed monthly. Cancel any time.
• Annual plan — 100 uploads per month, billed annually at $48/year. Cancel any time.

All payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions are not prorated — if you cancel partway through a billing period, you retain access until the end of that period but will not receive a partial refund. Unused Day Pass uploads are non-refundable. All other refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you have an issue.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI processing pipeline.
• Upload content that is not a ham radio log sheet (e.g. personal documents, photos of people).
• Circumvent upload limits or plan restrictions.

6. Accuracy of extracted data

The AI extraction is provided as a convenience tool. We make no guarantee that extracted QSO data is accurate, complete, or suitable for submission to any logging service. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all data before use. Submitting inaccurate logs to POTA, LOTW, or any other service is your responsibility.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but make no guarantees of uptime. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paper Powered POTA and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
